Robert Padilla is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Managing Member of Redefine Financial, LLC. He began his career in financial services in 1992 with a large Fortune 500 firm and has spent more than three decades helping clients turn complex financial decisions into clear, actionable plans. Since earning his CFP® designation in 2006, his work has focused on helping people pursue financial independence and retirement on purpose—not by accident—so they can reach their goals sooner and with less unnecessary risk.
In his early years, Robert saw firsthand how difficult it can be to act as a true fiduciary inside a corporate environment that must ultimately prioritize its own interests. That tension led him to establish Redefine Financial, LLC in August 2018 with a different mission: to serve as an independent fiduciary, sitting solely on the client’s side of the table and letting their goals—not a product list—drive every recommendation.
Today, Robert works with clients across the wealth journey: professionals in their prime earning years who are serious about building assets for future freedom, families mapping out college and career transitions, and individuals and couples approaching or living in retirement who need durable income and thoughtful risk management. His planning process connects accumulation, retirement income, tax strategy, and risk to one coherent blueprint, so clients can see how each decision supports the life they are working toward.

He takes the time to explain trade-offs in plain language and to show, with real numbers, how different choices may affect both risk and timing. For him, a successful meeting is one where a client leaves feeling clearer and more confident—not more overwhelmed.
Outside of work, Robert enjoys community volunteer work and staying active through downhill skiing, biking, and hiking. He and his family also love traveling the country in their Airstream, a reminder of what careful planning can make possible in real life, not just on paper.
